Visa & Entry Requirements

Most foreign nationals require a visa to enter Pakistan. Many are eligible for an e-Visa or visa-on-arrival.

Ensure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond your planned stay.
A letter of invitation (LOI) from a registered tour operator is often required.

Currency & Money

The official currency is the Pakistani Rupee (PKR). Credit cards are accepted in major cities, but cash is essential in rural areas.

ATMs are widely available in cities but scarce in northern regions.
Carry small denominations for convenience.
Currency exchange is available at airports and official exchange offices.
